Smile Makeover: Your Dream Smile

A beautiful smile can transform the way you feel about yourself. A smile makeover is a personalized cosmetic treatment plan designed to transform the functionality and appearance of your smile.

At Rejuvenation Dentistry, we take a biologic approach that not only enhances your smile but also supports your overall health. Instead of one-size-fits-all solutions, our cosmetic dentistry treatments are fully personalized — designed to match your unique dental needs, facial features, and lifestyle.

What Is a Smile Makeover?

A smile makeover is a personalized cosmetic treatment plan designed to transform the appearance and functionality of your smile. It combines various procedures, such as veneers, teeth whitening, bonding, and gum contouring, to address aesthetic concerns like discoloration, misalignment, or missing teeth. At Rejuvenation Dentistry, our biologic approach ensures that your smile makeover not only enhances your confidence but also supports your overall health. Unlike one-size-fits-all solutions, our smile makeovers are tailored to fit your unique dental needs, facial structure, and lifestyle goals.

Available Treatments

Guided by the artistry and expertise of Dr. Gerry Curatola and his team, we create a custom plan that blends advanced techniques with a holistic perspective. The team will provide various procedures according to your treatment plan and goals.

Including:

These in-office plans help to address aesthetic concerns like discoloration, misalignment, or missing teeth and give you a beautiful smile you can be proud of!

Teeth Whitening

Our Brighten & Balance teeth whitening system uses an antioxidant gum mask and homeopathic formulas to whiten teeth safely and effectively. Professional whitening can reverse years of staining and brighten discolored teeth caused by red wine, coffee, food, or aging.

This non-invasive option offers quick results, minimizes sensitivity, and improves confidence. Teeth whitening treatments are not permanent and will take place annually in-office.

Other at-home whitening treatments, such as trays or prescription gels, need to be maintained every six to twelve months. Using at-home remedies like peroxide or chlorine dioxide can also pose risks and should be used cautiously.

Dental Veneers

Rejuveneers™ are our proprietary biologic veneers — offering a non-toxic, durable, and stunning alternative to traditional veneers. They correct discoloration, chips, and gaps while protecting the tooth structure.

If you are seeking a natural-looking cosmetic adjustment to your teeth without compromising tooth health, the following veneers are great treatment options:

  • Rejuveneers™: Stain-resistant, highly durable, minimally invasive, and preserve the oral microbiome.
  • Porcelain veneers: Durable and stain-resistant, but require a significant amount of enamel removal and contain synthetic materials.
  • Composite veneers: Affordable and quick to apply, but are prone to staining and have a shorter lifespan than other options.

Dental Bonding

Bonding involves applying tooth-colored composite resin to repair chips, cracks, gaps, or discoloration. This cost-effective treatment can quickly enhance your smile’s appearance. It only takes one visit to perform dental bonding — effectively preserving your natural tooth enamel. When properly taken care of, the results can last up to ten years.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a natural-looking and durable solution for replacing missing teeth. At Rejuvenation Dentistry, we use zirconia implants for their superior biocompatibility and aesthetic appeal.

This cosmetic dental procedure is a permanent tooth replacement that restores both function and appearance, helps preserve jawbone health, and doesn’t affect surrounding teeth.

  • The process requires oral surgery, which includes several steps and a more extended treatment timeline. It begins with a consultation, X-rays, and dental impressions.
  • On the day of surgery, the focus is on tooth extraction (if needed) and implant placement. The implant is anchored into the jawbone for stability — like a screw secured into solid wood.
  • After healing, an abutment is placed on the implant to connect it to the crown.
  • The final step is crown placement, which completes the artificial tooth and provides a natural-looking, functional smile.

While this dental procedure can be costly, it is a permanent solution and requires little to no maintenance.

Gum Contouring

Gum contouring reshapes uneven or excessive gum tissue to enhance the appearance of your teeth. In just a few visits, this procedure can completely transform a “gummy smile.” After about a week of healing, you’ll be ready to show off your new smile!

This quick treatment offers permanent results and improves the look of small or uneven teeth with minimal discomfort. Some patients may experience mild sensitivity during recovery, which may not be recommended for those with advanced gum disease.

Orthodontics (Braces & Invisalign)

Clear aligners like Invisalign or traditional braces correct misaligned teeth, improving aesthetics and function while supporting better dental health.

  • Invisalign: Offers a discreet appearance with the convenience of removable aligners. Consistent wear is the key to getting the results you're looking for.
  • Traditional braces: Can cause discomfort and need to be routinely adjusted, but they are helpful and effective for straightening teeth.

Whether you’re dealing with crooked teeth, an overbite, or another alignment issue, treatment times can vary — but both options offer reliable, long-lasting results.

How Personalized Treatment Plans Are Built

The smile makeover process starts with understanding your personal needs and goals.

Depending on your treatment plan, our team takes several steps to help you (and us) visualize and prepare for your transformation. These steps include:

  • Photos: Provide a visual reference of your current smile and serve as a helpful before-and-after comparison.
  • X-rays: Reveal the structure of your full mouth, allowing us to address dental issues like cavities, misalignments, cracked teeth, or past dental work.
  • Digital mockups: Offer a preview of your potential results and outline the steps needed to achieve your goals.

How Much Does It Cost?

The total cost depends on the complexity of your dental needs, the materials used, and the number of treatments required. Average ranges include:

Veneers (per tooth)

  • Composite veneers: ~$780 (range: $250–$1,500)
  • Porcelain veneers: ~$2,300 (range: $925–$4,000)

Bonding (per tooth)

  • ~$300–$400 average (range: $100–$600)

Dental Implants (per tooth, including crown)

  • Average: ~$2,100–$4,800 (range: ~$1,500–$6,000+)

Teeth Whitening

  • In-office professional: ~$650 (range: ~$400–$1,800)
  • Dentist‑supervised take‑home kit: ~$250 (range: $100–$500)
  • Over-the-counter products: ~$20–$100 (low end, limited effectiveness)

Full‑Mouth Makeover / Reconstruction

  • Typical range: ~$20,000 to $80,000 (national average commonly cited ~$45,000)

Standard dental insurance plans may partially cover routine and restorative procedures, such as fillings, crowns, and implants, when medically indicated. Insurance generally excludes purely cosmetic treatments, such as veneers, bonding, whitening, and most smile makeovers.

Exceptions: In rare cases where bonding or veneers serve a medical or structural purpose (e.g., after trauma or congenital issues), some insurers may provide limited coverage if properly documented.

Insurance limits: Plans typically include waiting periods, annual maximums, coinsurance, pre-existing exclusions, and network restrictions. Cosmetic procedures usually fall outside these limits.

Is a Smile Makeover Right for You?

If you feel self-conscious about your smile due to discoloration, misalignment, or damaged teeth, a smile makeover may be the perfect solution. Ideal candidates include individuals looking to improve the appearance of their teeth while addressing underlying oral health issues.

Whether you’re dealing with stains, gaps, or a gummy smile, a consultation will help you explore options and create a plan that fits your needs.

Recovery & Results

Recovery depends on which procedures are included in your makeover. Non-invasive treatments like teeth whitening usually require minimal downtime. Procedures such as veneers or gum reshaping may involve a short adjustment period. Our team provides personalized aftercare instructions to support smooth healing and long-lasting results.

You’ll notice immediate improvements in your smile’s appearance, with final results becoming more visible as swelling or sensitivity subsides. Your new smile can last for years with proper oral hygiene, professional dental care, and regular check-ups. It can enhance not only your appearance, but also your confidence and quality of life.

FAQs

Background texture

What is the difference between a smile makeover and a full mouth reconstruction?

A smile makeover focuses more on the aesthetics of your teeth, helping you achieve a smile to be proud of — typically involving cosmetic procedures.

Full mouth rejuvenation (or full mouth reconstruction) focuses more on restorative treatments that address functional issues. Including:

  • Bite alignment
  • Missing teeth
  • Severe dental damage

While both can improve your smile, the goals are different.

What is the most affordable type of smile makeover?

The cost of a smile makeover will vary based on your goal and specific treatment needs. Cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as teeth whitening and bonding, are generally more affordable than veneers or a full mouth makeover.

Will a new smile make me look younger?

Yes! A bright and healthy smile can make you look more youthful and refreshed. Discoloration, worn edges, and missing or uneven teeth are often associated with aging. Addressing these issues with cosmetic treatments can enhance your overall appearance and confidence.
